Chrome extension
Updated 15 October 2026.
Open a job page, open RoleInbox in Chrome’s side panel, and it fills the application from your profile. You check the answers and press Submit yourself.
Four steps in the side panel
- Prepare. It reads the form and drafts answers from facts you approved.
- Answer. Questions your facts don’t cover come to you. Type the answer, or draft it with AI and check every line.
- Fill this page. It types every answer into the form and attaches your resume, then reads each field back to check it took.
- Submit. You press Submit. RoleInbox never sends on its own.
After you send
When the employer’s thank-you page appears, RoleInbox saves a record of what was sent. If it can’t tell, it asks you. The job then shows as submitted on your Applications board.
You can also let RoleInbox catch the employer’s replies, so they arrive in RoleInbox instead of your inbox. That is off until you turn it on.
Where it works
Job pages on Greenhouse (job-boards.greenhouse.io, boards.greenhouse.io) and Ashby (jobs.ashbyhq.com). Workday is next, with more job sites on the way.
What it can see
Only those job sites and roleinbox.com. It signs you in with your Google account, and keeps your session in Chrome’s own storage. Read more on the privacy page.
